Is Self-Employment For Me?


An interactive workshop identifying if self-employment would suit you. The workshop will delve into the pros and cons of self-employment, identify key characteristics of an entrepreneur, and conduct a self-assessment exercise on your entrepreneurial skills.  A perfect opportunity to meet and listen to the stories of individuals who have gone through the process of setting up their own business.  Information stands from different local support agencies will also be in attendance, and one-to-one business mentoring will be available (optional).

Introduction to Video Projection Mapping


This is an introductory workshop, with Dr. Martina Cleary giving a talk and demonstration on the emerging use of Video Projection Mapping in contemporary lens-based media production. The session will include a presentation on the artist’s work, along with examples of current international practice, and the use of Projection Mapping in both Fine Art and commercial contexts. The session will provide an overview of the logistics in project planning, including workflow, software and equipment needed, plus a short demonstration of Madmapper at an entry level

Social Enterprises - New Policies, New Opportunities


This information seminar is aimed at the management and staff of social enterprises. The speakers for the afternoon include: Emma McEvoy from Maynooth University who will present on public procurement and social enterprises, and Richard Gavin, Assistant Principal Officer in the Rural Strategy and Social Enterprise Unit of the Department of Rural and Community Development who will present on the new national social enterprise policy.
